Every time we say we run a farm someone asks how we got to where we are. We are happy to share!

 

Mrs. Farmer was raised in a farming family in Alabama and animals have always been in her blood. She has raised/cared for an enormous variety of domestic, wild, and exotic species and is always looking to expand her knowledge. 

 

Mr. Farmer was from the city and had little work with anything other than dogs and cats. However, he's a quick learner and dove right in. In no time at all, he was giving medications, pulling stuck babies, and single-handedly building run-in sheds to keep the farm clicking along. 

On this farm, we are passionate about keeping these rare genetics alive. It's not glamorous work, but it is meaningful. We do all we can to prove their value on the homestead and to prove how homesteading helps secure and strengthen our communities and families. We are excited for others to join us on this journey!
